It takes only a few steps to register for the OAT. The test is offered year round and will be held at a Prometric Center nearest to your location. Click HERE to get started.
Once you are at the Prometric website, there will be two drop-down menus under "For Test Takers." Choose "All" for the first and "Optometry Admission Test" for the second menu.
You will now search for a testing site. Once you have selected the most convenient location, you may now start the registration process. Before choosing a date to take the OAT, the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry must verify that you have not taken the OAT in the span of three months. Once verified, they will send you a confirmation number by snailmail. This confirmation number will allow you to set up a date to take the OAT.
